Trade Confirmation Automation to support STP strategy

This global investment bank is using Thunderhead to automate the generation of trade confirms in response to transaction events and is a key component in this STP strategy. The goals were to automate 10,000 trades per day (settled using Fax, SWIFT and other protocols); retain exception handling options; and reduce the firm’s exposure to risk. Initial evaluation suggests productivity gains of up to 400 per cent through automation and expected cost savings of $1m per year. Furthermore, though re-using content and reducing manual intervention, the bank is significantly reducing exposure to compliance risk.
